Moco Market opens in Madison
We are about a month late in announcing this, but the Moco Market has opened on Madison’s east side, on Williamson Street.
Billed as a modern convenience store specializing in specialty food, wine and beer, this market caters to the area professional who craves a fresh, healthy alternative to fast food and pre-packaged options.
Quoting from their press release: “MoCo is the solution for the growing population of young urban dwellers who are forced to run around town in search of fresh foods and convenience goods,” says MoCo owner Megan Ramey. “We have it all under one roof; modern design, pedestrian-friendly and environmentally-conscious service.”
In addition, their fact sheet says:
MoCo Market features fresh breakfast, lunch and dinner options that change daily.
- Breakfast: Bagels with assorted toppings, build your own yogurt parfaits or oatmeal, and fruit sushi
- Lunch: Soup of the day and salad bar
- Dinner: Freshly prepared sushi sold take-out style
- A self-serve coffee bar featuring Milwaukee’s Anodyne coffee and Rishi hot and iced teas
We’ll make a point of stopping in within the next few days. In the meantime, if you have already checked this new store out, add a comment and let us know what you think!

I have been to moco a couple of times now and I love this little upscale store/ soup, salad, sandwich bar. The store had so many differsnt things available from Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, household goods, food, tee-shirts, and a nice salad bar. I had a delicious Coconut chicken soup and an egg salad sandwich I really enjoyed. I think this is a great neighborhood shop and I reccomend you check it out.
I love this little neighborhood market! Its so wonderful to be able to walk to a locally owned store to get a quick tasty bagel sandwich or a fresh soup and salad. The store always has a variety of freshly prepared salads and a unique selection of soups. You can’t go wrong ordering, everything is so tasty! They offer free wi-fi and an a wide variety of groceries as well!
