Madison’s second annual Restaurant Week starts this Sunday and runs thru Friday. This is a great opportunity to get out and visit Madison’s wonderful array of fine independent restaurants, while they offer special three course lunches and dinners at a fixed price, $15 for lunch and $25 for dinner. You can pick from several choices in each course. Visit an old favorite, or that restaurant you have been wanting to try. But make reservations soon as some of the restaurants book up. Quivey’s Grove will be taking reservations for Dinner in the Stone House and lunch and in the Stable Grill, and dinner Sunday thru Thursday in the Stable Grill. Friday night in the Stable is as always, first come, first served.

Choice Certified Angus Beef Tenderloin Medallions: These butterknife tender medallions will be featured on the Stable Grill Dinner Menu during Restaurant week. Two 3 oz medallions of melt in your mouth beef, served on a mushroom ragout, Madeira cream sauce, and a twice bake cheese potato. Start with a romaine salad with buttermilk blue cheese dressing, topped with Nueske Bacon, and finish with chocolate steamed pudding with vanilla cream sauce. Just $25 and you are in steak lovers heaven.

Wisconsin Fish Sampler: Hungry yet? It gets even better in the Stone House! Try this sampler plate of Wisconsin’s favorite fish. Pretzel crusted Lake Michigan perch filets, beer battered Lake Superior whitefish, and Walleye Pike filets, baked with a mustard dill butter sauce, all served with a parmesan cheese potato. Start with a strudel of duck and dried cherries baked in flaky filo dough and served with port wine and cherry sauce, and finish with warm apple crisp with vanilla ice cream. Appetizer, Entree, and Dessert at The Stone House at Quivey’s Grove for $25. It doesn’t get much better.
