Comments:  Some voters commented on the sad state of the Ethnic nominees in this contest, more voters seemed disillusioned with the state of ethnic dining options in Madison, in general.

  1. LAREDOS! It’s worse than Chi Chi’s ever was for heavens sake! How did Sa Bai Tong, or Swagat get passed over here. This rating is a joke - Laredos is nothing but another chain with high-margin franchise food (a la Fridays, Chillis, MCDONALDS!).

  2. Laredo’s a chain? Seriously? Just because they have three — soon to be four — restaurants in an area? I can’t find any evidence that they are a national franchised chain like Chili’s, TGI Friday’s, or McDonald’s.

    They get my vote. I’ve been dining at the west side location for years; can’t wait for Fitchburg’s location to open.

  3. Laredo’s, you must be kidding. It has the worst so called mexican food I’ve ever eaten. Apparently, you have never tried Abuelo’s. Get real, I’m from New Mexico, I know good mexican food.
