What would Madison be without the infamous fish fry? Everyone has a favorite fish fry, and everyone hotly debates the best place to go

If there is one thing that Madison does well, it is steaks. From the long-standing traditional supper clubs and steak houses, to the modern day over the top big city steak, Madison has it covered.

The midwest is not known for the seafood it serves. Madison offers a number of restaurants that contradict that fact.

Every other year we’ve omitted it. But this year we’ve given in. You win. You know what you like, and you like Babcock Hall Ice Cream.

Madison has a lot of good burgers. Every bar worth its salt has a signature patty. Restaurants in Madison have been built around their burgers.

This year’s Mad Diner Award for Best Pizza turned out to be a landslide. The winner of this category also won the award for Best Take Out/Delivery.

When Mad Diners just don’t feel like going out, they turn to their favorite places that provide take out and delivery service.

Is there anything more satisfying than a nice basket full of bar food?

Many (including us) lament that the art of restaurant service is a lost one. However, there are some Madison area restaurants that shine.

With all of the lakefront to be found in Madison, you’d think that there would be a lot more lake front dining available. There isn’t, really, but the restaurants that do have lakefront dining really stand out!
